Welcome to Clemson! My name is Chris Sandkuhler, and I am a rising junior majoring in architecture and minoring in finance. I was born and raised in Lititz, Pennsylvania, a small town about an hour and a half west of Philadelphia. When I'm not working in my architecture studio over in Lee Hall, I enjoy sports and just generally being outdoors. Hiking on the weekends, being active, and watching the Tigers dominate in every sport are just a few of my past times.

Your transition to college can be one of the most exciting yet challenging times of your life. As an ambassador I will be here for you to ease this transition educating you on everything Clemson that you need to know. For me, my transition from my high school to Clemson was extremely challenging. I was the first student from my high school to attend Clemson so I didn't know a single student entering orientation. I was incredibly nervous for school to start. However, once classes began in the Fall, I quickly became involved in some of our many incredible organizations here at Clemson and met many students similar to me. My Orientation Ambassadors and everyone involved with the Clemson Connect Program helped me truly feel like a member of the Clemson Family and helped me realize that Clemson was truly my new home.
Advice for New Students

Never be caught around campus without your rain jacket or umbrella. In Clemson, when it rains, it pours. Trust me, sitting in class soaking wet is never fun.

Besides my involvement with Orientation Ambassadors, in my time at Clemson I have been involved with Student Government, Greek Life, the Clemson Connect Program, Club Sports, and I serve as an Ambassador to the College of Architecture, Arts, and Humanities. Becoming involved early as a Freshman was one of my most important decisions as a freshman. It allowed me to not only give back to my university but to also meet and interact with many of my now closest friends.

Involvement

One of my favorite aspects of Clemson and one of my favorite parts about freshman year was learning and experiencing some of our Clemson traditions. My favorite Clemson tradition is 'Running Down the Hill'. Every football game our football team gathers at the top of the hill on the east endzoe of Memorial Stadium, touches the Rock, and runs down the hill. Called the 25 most exciting seconds of College Football by ESPN's Brent Musburger, the Tiger's running down the hill is truly exilherating for both fans and players. Follow the link in picture to learn more about Clemson's traditions and enjoy ESPN's look at running down the hill.

Advice for New Students

After every football game, the student's of Clemson come together to sing our university Alma Mater. My advice to Freshman students is to learn the Alma Mater so that you too can participate in this great Clemson Family tradition.
